Antonio Velardo

Born in 1977, Antonio Velardo hoped to tour the world after high school in Naples, Italy. Velardo, unlike most other teens, had aspirations of becoming a pilot so that he could fly himself to exotic locations.
Taking to the skies
After moving to Florida at the age of 19, Velardo became a commercial pilot with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Phoenix East Aviation School in Daytona Beach helped him earn his commercial pilot's license after a few years of study. Afterward, he went to Europe and enrolled at Capua Aeroschool in Italy to update his license for certification by the JAA (Joint Aviation Authority), a European regulatory organization.

As soon as he achieved this, Velardo began living the life of his youth, traveling the world as a commercial pilot, working in a variety of different nations, and learning about other cultures "in quest of answers."

The life of a pilot didn't please Velardo, despite his passion for flying; in fact, it was flying that was preventing him from "extending his wings" and pursuing a vocation that was spiritually fulfilling.

As a result, Velardo returned to Loughborough University in the United Kingdom, where he earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and graduated with honors. Instead of becoming a civil engineer, Velardo decided to follow his heart and become a real estate developer.

The property market

In Spain and Cape Verde, Velardo began his career in property sales. It wasn't long before he was running initiatives in Italy and North Africa from the top of the company.

Velardo is the head of Real Capital Ventures, a $50 million property investment firm that creates apartment/hotel complexes and full-service residential projects with significant net cash flow in Tunisia.

After the financial crisis of 2008, Velardo expanded his real estate investments to the rest of Europe and the United States. His enterprises bought troubled assets from several banks in the United States and turned them into ventures with positive cash flow.

Real estate development and management projects with minimal risk and great returns are now under Velardo's leadership, and he serves as chairman of numerous of them. His business projects have a long history of success, with a high rate of return.
